MATERIAL CODE
EKORİT
Alumina is the hardest and most widely used of the ceramic materials.
It is applied, where a high wear resistance, high corrosion
resistance and strength is necessary.Due to its high dielectric
properties it is often applied for electronic products.
Typical characteristics of Ekorit includes:
-
Good flexural strength
-
Very high hardness and wear resistance
-
Very high corrosion resistance
-
High thermal stability
-
Excellent dielectric properties
Our
E-500 is of 99,7% purity. Its very small grain size results in a
fine and fibre friendly surface. In combination with a very good
hardness and wear resistance, our E-507 is the ideal material for
all applications with high speeds and tensions. E-507 is surface
finished from satinated to diamond(mirror) and high precision with
narrow tolerances. Ideal for all Chemical Fibre Applications.
EKOTİT
E-TB is conductive and thus antistatic.
Ekotit’s E-TY is a product with a fine grain size and softness.
Titania is the perfect material, where a fine, tender surface is
vital for the application, e.g. certain fibres and texturizing.
Typical characteristics of Ekotit includes:
-
Sufficient wear resistance
-
Sufficient hardness and flexural strength
-
Good thermal stability
-
Antistatic and conductive (only E-TB)
EKOZİR
Ekozir’s E-Z is applied where mechanical strength and physical
stability is required. A high impact resistance, flexural strength
and hardness make it ideal for tough and rugged usage. A fine grain
size allows for extremely smooth surfaces and sharp edges. Our E-Z
is the result of constant research and development. It is the
toughest ceramic material on the market today.
Typical characteristics of Ekozir includes:
The
surface applications are applied on Ekorit,Ekotit and Ekozir :
-
Natural finish
-
Standart finish
-
Matt finish
-
Shiny finish
-
Diamond finish
We
can apply depending on customer’s demand and fields of use.
Today engineering ceramics, which
are based upon Aluminum oxide(Al2O3) are the oxide ceramic tools,
which have various kinds of application fields. Its main row material
is called bauxite. Al2O3 is produced by some kinds of chemical process
from bauxite.
EKOTEKS has been producing Al2O3 ceramics by the
name of ekorit® since 1996. These ceramics include various kinds
of characteristic combinations, related to their particular specialities.
These are :
- High mechanical strength
- High heat conductivity
- High fire strength
- High corrosion and wear resistance
- Well surface specialties
- Perfect electric insulation.
Furthermore, some surface processes which is applied
to the surface of ekorit® product, provides surface smoothness and
precision. These specialties are very important, especially in yarn
sector and application.ekorit® takes its name from the combination
of Corundum and Aluminum minerals (Alukorit), that exist in ekorit®'s
composition.
The mineral Corundum is the second hardest mineral
in the world after the mineral Diamond. This can be seen in the scale,
which was made by Austrian scientist Friedrich Mohs in 1822. In
Mohs scale, diamond is defined as the hardest mineral, talk is defined
as the softest mineral. In this scale, minerals are arranged by their
hardness from 1 to 10 in an ascending order. Hardness of ekorit®
is the ninenth level in this scale. However, hardness and strongness
are different terms in minerology. Strength of a mineral against
scratch and hitting by a hammer or a stone, can not be the same.(Strength
against scratch is hardness, strength against the hitting is strongness)
Moreover, ekorit® products can be used by adapting
different kinds of metal, plastic etc... parts. This adapting process
is made by screwing, gluing or tight fitting technics. The most preferred
way is gluing, which is the most convenient.
